Tensile Structure in Architecture

Morcrafts offered 30 architects and architecture students the opportunity to be exposed to the technique behind Tensile Structures, an approach not yet taught in Indian schools. Dashrath Patel, the first practitioner and teacher of modern design at the National Institute for Design (NID) in Ahmedabad, India, conducted a three-day intensive, interactive workshop that included model-making. Dashrath has apprenticed with recognized giants of architecture such as Buckminster Fuller, Louis Khan and Frei Otto.
